The perfect place to watch the sun go down with panoramic views of the Puglia country
The sun seems to always shine at our trulli in Puglia. So, when you have finished relaxing in the sunshine by the pool, why not visit our local town Castellana Grotte which has some of the most spectacular caves in Italy. This unique town of antique flavours and historic 10th century centre is rich in churches.and splendid noble palazzzi. Alternatively, experience the nearby historic town of Alberobello, famous for its fairytale like scenery of white trulli, a UNESCO world heritage site. Sample the bars and restaurants in both local towns in the evening, where you can enjoy the Italian cuisine and wine, join the locals families in promenading (passeggiata) late into the night. We often visit the weekly food and clothes markets in Alberobello, Castellana Grotte and Locorotondo. As Rick Stein says there is nothing we have in the UK that compares to this way of buying fresh local produce.
You can also enjoy a day at the Adriatic coast with it’s changing beaches. The dramatic rocky outcrops and coves around Polignano a Mare are great for snorkelling. As you continue towards Monopoli there are long sandy shallow beaches at Torre Canne perfect for young children .Further on towards Brindisi the coast changes again into sand dunes
